Interim engagement

WTP Programme Management

End-to-end programme leadership for your WTP transition. We embed as your dedicated programme manager to set up governance, coordinate workstreams, manage DNB liaison, and deliver board-ready reporting — typically 3–4 days per week.

Not a Big Four generalist. Someone who understands both the pension substance and the delivery discipline.

Why embedded programme management?

WTP transitions are complex, multi-stakeholder projects. They require someone embedded in the fund who speaks both the pension language and the programme management discipline. You need clarity on governance, alignment across invaren, communication, data, IT, and legal workstreams, and credible reporting to your board and participant council.

A part-time embedded PM from Diletti gives you that. No overhead, no Big Four mark-up. Just experience, rigour, and real pension knowledge.

What we deliver

Governance setup

Stuurgroep design, project structure, RACI matrix, decision rights, and escalation paths. Clear from day one.

Workstream coordination

Drive alignment across contract design, invaren, communication, data/IT, and legal. Weekly steering, risk logs, and dependency management.

DNB liaison

Manage regulatory submission timelines, attend DNB meetings, handle amendments, and keep your regulator informed. We've done this before.

Board & council reporting

Monthly progress reports, RAG status, milestone tracking, and risk briefings. Executive-ready, no fluff.

Risk & change management

Issue log, dependency tracking, change control, and contingency planning. Anticipate problems, not react to them.

Our approach

1

Mobilisation

Weeks 1–2. Understand your fund, map stakeholders, agree on governance, draft project charter.

2

Governance setup

Weeks 3–6. Establish stuurgroep, define workstreams, agree RACI and decision-making. Kick-off workshops.

3

Execution & steering

Months 2–18 (typically). Weekly workstream reviews, monthly stuurgroep meetings, DNB liaison, risk management, and continuous board reporting.

4

Transition & handover

Final 2–3 months. Close-out documentation, team handover, knowledge transfer, final board report. Programme memory stays with your fund.

Who this is for

You're a pension fund with 500+ employees or €5B+ assets planning a WTP transition. You need hands-on programme leadership but don't want to hire full-time. Your CFO, CIO, and General Counsel are under pressure already. You need one person who can coordinate without creating new internal tension.

You've seen too many Big Four projects bloat. You want someone experienced, pragmatic, and focused on delivery — not on building a huge team.

FAQs

How quickly can we start?

Typically within 2–3 weeks of agreement. We avoid lengthy procurement. If you're ready, we're ready.

Can this be full-time instead of 3–4 days per week?

Yes. Some funds prefer full-time embedded PM for the first 6–9 months, then scale back. We flex to your needs and budget.

How do you work with our internal project team?

We're complementary, not replacing. You may have a project coordinator handling admin and scheduling. We focus on steering, risk, governance, and external liaison (DNB). Clear roles, no overlap.

How is this different from Big Four programme management?

Big Four typically staffs 3–5 people and charges day-rates accordingly. We're one embedded person with 20+ years of pension and programme experience. Same rigour, fraction of the cost, and pension knowledge that's hard to find elsewhere.

What happens after we transition?

You own the governance, risk logs, and board reports. We hand over all documentation and knowledge. If you need post-transition support or a governance review 6 months later, we're available.
